When I’m not driving my own clients or helping out other limousine companies, I open the Uber Driver app - and in that moment, the day becomes a mystery.
I never know where the first ride will take me.

Sometimes, it’s just around the corner - a neighbourhood I’ve never visited, a street I might never have found otherwise. Other times, each new request carries me further and further away from Copenhagen, until I end up in towns I didn’t even know existed.

And then there are days when it feels like life is having a little fun with me: I drive far out, only to get a request that brings me right back to where I started.

The fascinating thing is this: my entire day, the people I meet, the conversations I share - all of it is shaped by one small decision… the exact moment I choose to press “go”.
There’s a kind of randomness in it, almost like fate.

​And I find that beautiful. Because it means every day holds adventures I could never plan - they simply unfold, one ride at a time.

After 30+ years in the computer and gaming industry, I’ve been fortunate to build a big network of colleagues, friends, and partners. Many of you know that my focus (and passion!) today is ZenRide - offering private, comfortable rides in and around Copenhagen.

Sometimes, when I talk to people from my old network (or even family and friends), they’ll say things like:
👉“We didn’t want to bother you.”
👉“It feels strange booking you, knowing your background.”
Which always makes me smile, because the truth is: you’re not bothering me at all.

​In fact, it’s the opposite! Driving is something I truly enjoy - it’s my new passion - and nothing makes me happier than being trusted with your ride.

ZenRide is doing well, and I love what I do. But honestly? I miss driving more of my friends, family, and former colleagues. Those trips aren’t “just work” - they’re some of the most rewarding ones.

So, if you need a ride to the airport, an event, or just across town, I’d love to be the one driving you. You’re not pulling me away from anything else - you’re making my day better

One of the unexpected joys of driving for ZenRide is meeting people from all corners of the world, every single week.
It never ceases to fascinate me how we’re all so different - yet so alike.
The small talk. The silence. The curiosity. The humour. The level of detail in their planning. The way they treat a chauffeur.
It all shifts slightly depending on where people come from.

- Americans: Friendly, chatty, and generous with tips.
- Germans: Punctual, polite, and incredibly well-prepared.
- French: Curious and appreciative of design, food, and the finer details.
- Swedes: Cool, calm, and often very down-to-earth.
- Italians: Passionate, warm, and never shy to share stories (and restaurant tips!).
- Chinese: Curious, tech-savvy, and often love the quietness of an electric ride.
- Danes: Comfortable, casual — and often surprisingly quiet, unless I start the conversation

Of course, this isn’t scientific and parameters as age, mood, and travel fatigue all play a big role, but I can’t help smiling at how these little patterns emerge over time.

I might be driving from A to B, but the conversations take me all over the world.
